Tasks cheatsheet

The tables collect the capital--labor task model's definitions and main results. Assume positive productivities, competitive production, \(\eta>0\), and an interior cutoff \(0<I<1\) with \(q'(I)>0\). The final-good price \(P\) equals unit cost; \(\eta\) measures substitution across tasks and \(\sigma\) substitution between aggregate inputs.

Main results: assignment, substitution, and shares

Derivatives are local and evaluated at the initial interior allocation. Unless stated otherwise, productivity schedules are fixed; for input-demand comparisons, final output is held fixed and \(P\) adjusts with unit cost.
